Here you will find answers to many frequently asked questions, including tips for sending your photos to Amanda for colour matching guidance.

COLOUR MATCHING + PRODUCT

I have over 21 years experience as a professional makeup artist, and have worked with literally thousands of women aged 40 plus. Plus I've tried, tested, and over-analysed each and every product that you'll find in the AR online shop, so I know the shades, and who they suit, intimately.

I would love to guide you into the right foundation. For successful colour matching, please send me a photo of you:

* facing natural light ie the natural light is on your face (if taking a selfie, you are facing the natural light and holding the phone infront of you),

* wearing no makeup

* make sure I can see your decolletage (no high neck tops, scarfs, etc). 

It does not need to be fancy (trust me, I've seen it all) and these images are never shared, we delete them once I've colour matched you.

It also helps me to know what your skin type is - so mention if you are Dry, Normal, Combination, or Oily (all of our products are suited to Sensitive skin!)

If you're looking for eyeshadow colour suggestions to best suit you, please look here first. You'll find on both the Magic Eyeshadow Duo's and Easy Eyeshadow Essentials is done for you. Simply choose your skin tone and eye colour, and the most flattering eyeshadow shades will be selected. You can then use this guide when shopping any of our Kits that include an eyeshadow crayon.

Most women need 2 shades of foundation. If you've ever watched a makeup artist work, they rarely use 1 shade of foundation, we always mix to get the perfect match.

So please know that this is the secret to flawless finish - and know that you may need 2 colours. That way you can mix the two shades a little when your in those "inbetween" months.

While it may feel like a larger investment upfront, you get twice as much products so it all works out in the wash anyways.

In the meantime, it helps to know what your skin type is - Dry, Normal, Comibation, Oily, Sensitive).

Head to the Main Menu here and scroll down a little you'll see 'SKIN TYPES' in the left-hand menu.

Click on your Skin Type

et voila, all the complexion products that are best suited to your skin type will display, including the foundations that best suit.

We use an App called "Sesami" for all Consult Bookings. It is linked to Amanda's calendar.

Search your email Inbox for a message from "Sesami", sometimes it rudely lands in the Junk/SPAM folder.

Please know while pre-covid, I ran in-person hands on lessons and sessions, the whole COVID shenanigans has pressed-pause on this and, for the moment, I don't have the capacity to accommodate in person one-on-ones. My time is stretched very thinly across a myriad of incredible projects, supporting women 40 plus to shine bright.

THE ONLINE MASTERCLASS

Welcome Sister! Now The Shine Sessions members only masterclasses are "locked" behind a password protected zone, that is designed to be super simple to use. It simply needs you to use the email address you purchased the Membership with, and to create a password, and away you go.

If you're having trouble logging in below are a few key troubleshooting ideas for you to try:

1. Make sure you have cleared your browser hisrory and cache, then restart your device, before trying to log in or create a new password.

2. Use the same email address as the one you used to purchase your membership (please check that the email address linked to your Paypal or ApplePay is the same as the email address you're trying to use as a log in). Your purchase email address is like your "key" to entry.

3. Have you received any emails from Amanda? Please check your Junk/SPAM first. If there are no emails there either, you may have an error/typo in the email address you’ve signed up with. If there is a typo in the email addrsss it can’t get through. Please email us amanda@amandramsay.com.au include your mobile phone number so we can contact you.

4. If you're getting an error message that says "Account already exists", and you've cleared your Browser History, check your Junk /SPAM for an email from us some months ago requesting that you "Activate Your Account". This email will have come from shop@amandaramsay.com.au If you can't find this please email us and we will resend the Account Activation email, include your mobile phone number so we can contact you.

5. Most log in issues are quickly resolved by clearing your browser history. If you've tried all of the above and still having trouble please call Amanda 0414 303 736.

6. Know that if you do have log in issues, which is not commonplace, we will add the days you've missed onto the end of your Membership. Just make sure you let us know.

Promise it is usually very strightforward!

An email is automatically triggered by our ecommerce platform immediately on purchase.

Once your order has been handpicked and packed by Lucie an order fulfillment email is immediately triggered with your Australia Post Tracking Number.

If you've not received these emails, please check your Junk and SPAM folders for an email from shop@amandaramsay.com.au sometimes they rudely land there! Make sure you add us to your Address Book so that doesn't continue to happen.

Still can't find the emails? There may be a typo in your email address, so your emails have disappeared into the interwebs land of lost unaddressed emails. You will need to email us shop@amandaramsay.com.au so we can look for the typo, fix it, and re-trigger your Tracking and Confirmation emails

Australia Post no longer guarantees next day delivery on Express, but Express Post parcels are always prioritised over Standard Post. So we encourage ladies needing items promptly to go for Express Shipping. Amanda Ramsay Makeup is located on the Gold Coast, which is considered a Regional Centre. Shipping times can be more lengthy than those in the Metro zones.

Essentially things are a little haphazard. Hang in there. We know it's frustrating, we have the same issues on our end trying to get stock, but rest assured your parcel will arrive.

Use the Australia Post Tracking Number you were sent to keep an eye on your parcels progress.

Once a parcel is with Australia Post, it is out of our hands and we have no control over when they will deliver and they will only deal with the Addressee.

So your best course of action if things on tracking look a little squiffy, is contact Australia Post directly.
